WeMake 4-H, in collaboration with NJ Makers Day, present a coding challenge
for elementary and middle school students in NJ!
Challenge Theme: "Tech For Our Environment"
Time is running out to limit air and water pollution to food and plastic waste to global warming.
*Students (grades 3-8) are invited to use either SCRATCH or HTML for their project.
What to Submit:
Include you name, grade, email ID, and the program URL or files. Completed programs should be emailed to wemake4h@gmail.com by April 30, 2023.
How to Submit:
- Create your project using the SCRATCH editor. (Click on the "embed" link below your program and email the URL), or
- Create your project using any online/offline HTML editor. Download the file(s) and email them.
Judging & Prizes:
All entries will be judged by WeMake 4-H's advisors based on originality and creativity. The challenge theme "Tech For Our Environment" must fit into the project.
Programs will be judges in two categories.
- STEM 4-Her Winners (2): to promote female participation in coding.
- Overall Winners (2): All participants.
Winning projects will be contacted through email by May 31, 2023. The prizes will include gift cards to the Maker Shed from MAKE.
