The Egg Harbor Township branch of the Atlantic County Library System, located at 1 Swift Avenue, will be closed temporarily as of Monday, November 13, 2023, for the installation of a new $2 million HVAC system and generator. The library branch is expected to reopen in February 2024.
“The new system will ensure a comfortable environment for our patrons and staff and help us achieve greater energy savings,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson.
Partial funding for the project is provided through a NJ State Library Construction Bond Grant and American Rescue Plan monies.
During the closure, patrons are encouraged to visit any of the library system’s other nine branches or call (609) 625-2776, ext. 6304 for assistance. Patrons may also access digital media services and databases 24/7. The EHT branch’s book drop box, located in the front of the building, will remain open for the return of any borrowed materials.
