2009 National Library Week
Celebrate National Library Week

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate.

Tell Us Your Story

To celebrate National Library Week, the Atlantic County Library System is giving away reusable, eco-friendly tote bags between April 13-18. Whether carrying groceries or taking home lots of great reading, this new bag is convenient and good-looking. Because it's reusable, you are helping the environment and making a statement about the importance of recycling. At Atlantic County Library System, blue is the new "green." Its ocean blue color and distinctive library logo make an attractive combination. Tell us what the library means to you and the tote bag is yours (while supplies last.)
