Food for Fines

During National Library Week, April 11-17, the library’s ten branches and the bookmobile are collecting nonperishable food items to be given to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey – Southern Branch. To encourage giving, the library offers “Food for Fines” in which overdue fines are forgiven for those who donate nonperishable food. Any unexpired nonperishable food is appreciated.

“Food for Fines” is an opportunity for those with overdue books to clear their library record and again enjoy the free resources of the Atlantic County Library System. In addition to books, the library has DVDs, CDs, magazines, audiobooks, and computers for the public. Many online resources are available 24/7.
