The declaration provides background on immigrants and required the immigrant to renounce forever allegiance to the government of their native homeland. The database is indexed by last name. |

We suggest you be creative in your search. For example, to find a person with the last name of Della Noce, you could enter Della or Della Noce or Noce in the search box, below. Either entry will generate the same result. Keep in mind the database is sensitive to spaces. Using the above example, DellaNoce would not generate any results. In this case, the space must be included. If you don't get results one way, try a variation on the spelling. These records were copied from microfilm, and often in the handwriting of the Atlantic County Surrogate or Atlantic County Clerk. |
