The Noyes Museum of Art and the Atlantic County Library System partner to introduce regional artists to a wider audience and provide library patrons with a treat!

 

“Everytime I see it, I smile because it reminds me of trips as a kid to the candy store,” said Debbie Fiedler of Mays Landing of the painting titled “Groovy Candy Buttons.”

"Groovy Candy Buttons" was on display because of a partnership between the Noyes Museum and the Atlantic County Library System that provides quarterly exhibits featuring Noyes Museum artist members at different library branch locations.

Artists with work currently on display:

  • Egg Harbor City Branch - Shirley Hawthorne
  • Mays Landing Branch - Robin Wesner & Stephen Garraty
  • Pleasantville Branch – Yvonne Yaar & Glenn Hudson
  • Longport Branch - Robin Beuhler & Barbara Ferrera
  • Ventnor Branch - Shari Tobias

The Atlantic County Library System’s Hammonton and Galloway branches are working with the Hammonton Art Center and Galloway Art Center to provide exhibits. On April 18 a day-long celebration of the arts will take place at the Galloway branch presented by the Galloway Art Center and will feature visual arts, storytelling, drama, poetry, and music. Artists, historians and collectors should be aware that most library branches also provide enclosed exhibit cases for the display of art or collections by patrons. Contact your local branch for more information to take advantage of this resource.
The museum’s other partnerships include the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) to maintain the ARTPORT exhibit space at the Atlantic City Airport in Pomona. Newly refurbished and now featuring two exhibit areas, ARTPORT is scheduled to reopen in April. The Noyes Museum, recently opened a satellite gallery in Hammonton, and has also partnered with the Hammonton Art Center. ArtPort
